Department of Commerce and Commerce CA conduct one day Trade Fair 2018 on 21/08/2018.

Dynamic students got an opportunity to bring out and showcase our students talent.

The sales mela was organised by commerce department of D.K.M. College unaided on 21^st August 2018 in Prayer hall. The mela began at 11.00 am by a short inaugural programme. Officiating senior staff member Dr. K. DEVI cut the ribbon and declared the mela open in the presence of Principal Dr. P.N. SUDHA , Dr. R. PADMAJA ,H.O.D, (AIDED), Dr. A. SUDHARVIZHI, Dr. T. BHARATHI, Miss. D. VIJAYANIRMALA H.O.D (UNAIDED), staffs and large number of students.

At the prayer hall students to provide tasty cutlet, sandwich, sweets, traditional sweets and coconut , sarees, fruits and lemon juice. Young ladies decorated their mehendi artists respectively, some other students hosted games to engaging the other department students.

  More than 50 students had participated in the mela displaying around the each and every product was made by the students themselves.

This sales mela was closed by 5. 00p.m. with students and staffs member support.

Rotaract club of D.K.M College for Women and Regional Transport Office Vellore jointly conducted Road Safety Awareness Rally.

To create awareness among the public on road rules and the importance of wearing helmets while riding, students of D.K.M College for Women took out a rally in the city on 1st August, 2018 Wednesday.

The rally was flagged off by Mr.N.Ramakrishna Regional Transport officer. Students held placards with messages of importance of wearing helmets and seat belts and also called for not to use mobile phone while at the wheel. They urged motorists to follow road rules to ensure safety for all. They said that accidents can be avoided if road rules were followed by all and asked road users to adhere to the rules.

DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS

4^th SCIENCE PARK

Department of Physics organized 4^th Science Park (Science Exhibition) in our college on 28^th August, 2018. The objective of this Science Park is to promote curiosity in Science and Technology among budding scientists and to encourage scientific and technological creativity among students and inculcating a sense of pride in their talent.

Nearly 40 exhibits were presented by the UG and PG students from our college and nearby institutions from Vellore. The science exhibition was inaugurated by the Principal    Dr. P. N. Sudha and Dr. M. Saravanakumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Government Muthurangam Arts College, Vellore, was acted as Chief Guest for this event.

He judged and announced the five best exhibits awards. Metals were given to the best exhibits and the participation certificates were given to all the participants.

Intercollegiate competitions on the theme conservation of environment – saying no to plastics was conducted at our college campus on 07.08.2018 at 10.00am. Our college Principal Dr.P.N.Sudha inaugurated the competitions. Students from various colleges participated in Oratorical, Essay writing and Drawings competitions. The winners list has been sent to the Joint Director of Collegiate Education, Vellore Region, Vellore. The winners will receive the prizes from the District Collector, Vellore on Independence Day Celebrations.

The College Union and its Allied Associations for evening college was inaugurated on 19.07.2018 at 2.00 p.m. The Chief guest of the day was Dr.S. Mythili, M.Com., M.Phil., Ph.D., Principal, Sri Agilandashwari Womens college, Wandhiwash. she lighted the Kuthu Vilaku and gave the inaugural address.

 Dr. G. Bhavani Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce presented the welcome address.

Our principal mam, Dr.P.N. Sudha  introduce our chief guest and address the gathering.

Respected Secretary sir Er. D. Maninathan, B.E., felicitated the cheif guest with small momento.

Mrs. B. Arulmozhi, Head of the Department , Department of Computer Applications presented the minutes of Union inauguration of the year 2018-2019. The elected candidates list was read by Dr. J. Hema priya, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology. The induction of college union and its allied Association has done by our chief guest Dr. Mrs. S. Mythili.

The honourable chief guest Dr. S. Mythili has delivered the inaugural address . she talk about today youth development.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Vinita Ernest, Head, Department of Bio technology.

The College Union and its Allied Associations was inaugurated on 13.07.2018 at 10.00 a.m. The Chief guest of the day was Dr. M. Jaya Sri Rani, Principal, KMG College of Arts and Science, Gudiyattam. She lighted the Kuthu Vilaku and gave the inaugural address.

The office bearers have taken the oath on that day.
