DKM College for Women (Aided) celebrated the Teachers day for the Academic year 2017 – 2018, on 5th September in our college campus. The celebrations started at 10.00 a.m. with the prayer song and the welcome address was given by the Principal Dr. P.N. Sudha.
After lighting of the kuthuvillaku, the secretary Mr. D. Maninathan gave his words of felicitation.
Dr. P. Sivaraji, M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D., Associate professor and Head , Department of Tamil, Islamiah College (Arts), Vaniyambadi was the chief Guest of the day. He spoke on the values of the Teacher and highlighted the role of students in the modern world.
After his Teachers day message, Cash Awards were distributed to the deserving students. Nearly 265 students from the 5 Major departments of Aided stream were given cash awards amounting to Rs. 18,330.
The celebrations ended at 12.30 p.m. with the National Anthem
