Dhanabhagiyam Krishnasamy Mudaliar College for Women (Autonomous), Vellore-1 established in the year 1972 is a pioneer institution in providing quality and need based education for fifty glorious years now.  The institution was founded by Amarar Vellore Vallal N.Krishnasamy Mudaliar, a noble soul whose life mission was the upliftment and empowerment of the downtrodden and socially backward women. The laudable vision of the founder was concretized through the foundation of the NKM Trust, which manages the various educational institutions in its ambit.

Under the able guidance and leadership of Dr.Thiru.T.Sivakumar M.A., President and Thiru.D.Maninathan B.E., Secretary who proved worthy of the mantle inherited, the college has prospered and touch the milestone of 50 golden years of service in the field of Higher Education.
