Krishnasamy Mudaliar, philanthropist and visionary for the development of women, founded in 1972 a women’s college in Vellore, in the name of his wife Dhanabagiyam as DHANABAGIYAM KRISHNASWAMY MUDALIAR COLLEGE FOR WOMEN (DKM COLLEGE) exclusively for the Empowerment of women. The college is a non minority, nonprofit institution offering UG, PG and Research programs leading to the award of Ph.D in several disciplines in aided and Unaided streams.
