HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT BOTANY
The department was established in the year 1974 which was headed by Mrs. J. REVATHI upto 2004. This Department offer Allied Botany to the Zoology major students. During the year 2007 Mr..L.UMAMAHESWARI was Appointed and Headed the Department. On attaining the Autonomous Status the department incorporated CBCS pattern to the curriculum from 2007.
Activities of the department
The Department took steps to name all the trees in the college campus both in the Botanical as well as vernacular names.
