1.1 ABOUT EQUAL OPPORTUNITY CELL

Equal Opportunity Cell has been established in DKM College for Women, Vellore to give Awareness and Assistance to the students belonging to marginalized sections including the Minorities, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities pursuing various courses in the college.

1.2 OBJECTIVES

• To provide information and act as a guidance for students belonging to Minority, OBC category and SC/ST category especially with regard to academic and employment matters.
• To establish good inter-personal relationships between students from various backgrounds and the students from marginalized sections.
• To help the marginalized students to become a young entrepreneur by making them aware of the funding agencies available specially for them.
• To organize seminars, workshops, meetings, exhibitions, etc. from time-to-time on matters pertaining to empowering OBC, SC/ST and Minorities in the society.
