REPORT FOR THE LETTERS INAUGURAL CEREMONY.

     Letters Association Inauguration of the English Department was held on 3rd of September, 2018 at the Department of English, D.K.M. College for Women (Autonomous), Vellore. The Inaugural ceremony was presided over by Miss. V.P. Gayatri, the Head & Asst. Prof of English, Department of English, D.K.M. College, Vellore.

            Dr. R. Anne Vidhya, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of English from Voorhees College, Vellore was the Chief Guest of the event. Distinguished guest, Ms. V.P.Gayatri, Head of English Department (Aided) D.K.M. College, Mrs. S.Indra Gandhi, Head of English Department (Unaided) D.K.M. College, Elite Staff members of English department and Student are attended the inaugural function.

        The Inaugural ceremony was commenced with the lighting of Kuthu vilakku by a group of dignitaries- Chief guest Dr. R. Anne Vidhya, Miss. V.P.Gayatri , Mrs. Gayatri, Mrs. S. Indragandhi, Mrs. T.Parvathi and Mrs. D. Sasi kala. The program was followed by prayer song. Mrs. D. Sasikala Asst. Prof. English Department formally welcomed all the dignitaries present on the dais, colleagues and students.

            Then the program was followed by the valuable speech of the chief guest.  It was a motivational talk which included a lot of real life experiences.  She urged how pupil should be hunger for knowledge and discipline in their life to attain success.  A group of English department student performed Literary Pageant in Harry Potter. It was a magnificent performance. Everybody enjoyed and highly appreciated it. Finally, The event concluded by the vote of thanks was offered by Mrs. S.Indra Gandhi.
