6.10.15 – ‘Blood donation camp’’ was organized at DKM College.

Intra collegiate poster and drawing competitions were conducted as a part of light year celebration in DKM College, Vellore.

The theme for the Poster presentation was “Science from Earth to Space” and for Drawing Competition was on “India 2020”

R. Vadamalar, Assistant Professor, Govt. Muthurangam Arts College, Vellore was invited as a chief Guest and prizes were distributed for the winners.

As a part of Campus training programme, an ‘Internal Income Generating Programme’ an Add-on Value course as a Certificate course in Salesmanship was conducted from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the Cauvery Conference Hall and C’ BLOCK stage. Various stalls were displayed by our students.

All Staff and Students purchased the items displayed by our students so as to encourage and inculcate confidence in their minds to become successful entrepreneurs in future.

One day Enviro club programme was organized on the topic ‘Solid waste management’’ on 30.09.2015 at 10.30 a.m. in the D’Block Conference Hall. Our Principal Dr. P.N. Sudha, delivered a felicitation to this programme. The Enviroclub staff and students coordinators from all Departments were attended the meeting. Dr. Sasikala, Assistant Professor of Zoology, proposed vote of thanks.

Department of Commerce (Aided, Unaided) organized an internal income generating programme on 30^th September 2015.

The year 2015 was considered as year of light to celebrate it, 10 students were taken to District Research Centre, Sathuvachari. A motivational talk was given by

Students gained knowledge about light, its origin and various developments.

Department of Mathematics conducted one day Guest Lecture Programme on 09.2015. The chief guest wasDr. S. Ramachandran Professor, Noorul-Islam University, Nagercoil.

Participated in Helmet Awareness Rally organised by IRCS, Vellore District Branch on 14^th September 2015. Twenty YRC volunteers participated in the Rally.

“National Literacy Day’’ was celebrated on 11.9.2015 “Moulana Abul Kalam Azad’s Life and Achievements” were remembered through oratorical competition.

History Association meeting was conducted on the topic ‘The Life History of Moulana Abul kalam Azad’’. The Chief Guest -Dr. K. Ameenal Bibi, Msc, Ph.D Associate Professor of Maths spoke about the contribution of Moulana Abul Kalam Azad, for the Development of Education, Science and Technology.

10.09.15 – Rally was conducted from Taulk Office to DKM College, Sainathapuram, and Vellore. Signature campaign was also conducted.   Rally was initiated by Rtn. R.K. Jaya Prakash, President, and Rotary club of Vellore Presidency. Dr. Zubaidha Sultha, Psychiatrist, Meenakshi Medical College, Kancheepuram interacted with the NSS volunteers on the topic “Reaching out & saving Life”.
