A grand job fair was conducted on 05.07.2014 in our college campus. It was jointly organised by D.K.M College, Employment Exchange office, Vellore and Rotary club of Vellore. Around 1700 youths registered their names in the job fair and 650 of them were placed in various companies. More than 30 companies participated in the job fair. The programme was presided by Dr. R. Nanthagopal, District collector, Vellore.

The Management offers fee concession and other facilities to socially deprived students who are eager to pursue higher education in DKM College. The girl students falling under the category of visually impaired, physically challenged, polio-affected, war widows and destitute will be supported for pursuing higher education. The extent of assistance for each applicant will be decided on the basis of merit and need of students with the consent of parents/guardians.

The college union inaugural function was presided by Mr.D. Maninathan, B.E., the College Secretary and Dr.P.N.Sudha, the Principal of our college. Welcome address was delivered by the Principal. The Chief Guest of the inaugural function was Dr. M.A.Jeyaraj, M.Com, M.Phil., Ph.D., Joint Director of Collegiate Education, Vellore region, Vellore presented the inaugural speech. In his speech, he quoted that “ A good leader should be honest, trustworthy, enthusiastic and source of inspiration. The leader should have confidence in their objectives, tolerant in times of crises and emotions, committed to excellence, proactive, respectful, lovable and respecting their elders are to be within oneself. Everyone should have personal responsibility, always maintain self esteem, plan accordingly and implement the thoughts in a right way that can make everyone to achieve their goals”. Celebration of Geneva Convention Day held on 12.08.2015 at IRCS, Vellore District Branch. 50 YRC volunteers attended the programme.

The installation of the newly Elected College Union of Aided department for the Academic Year 2015-2016 was held in the open Auditorium at 11:00 AM on 05th August 2015.
 

Floral welcome was given to the guest by P.N. Sudha, Principal and introduced the guests Dr. P. Peruvalluthi, Ph.D., Dean, College Development Council, Professor & Head, Department of English, Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore to the students and his achievements.
 
P. Peruvalluthi, Ph.D., inaugurated the activities of the Union, administered the oath to union members swore their allegiance and hard work towards their duties. Student Chairman Ms. Sajeetha delivered the Acceptance Speech and led the pledge. The office bearers recited the pledge lead by the student Chairman.
 
Student Vice Chairman Ms. B. Sruthi, proposed the vote of thanks and the union activity inauguration came to an end with National Anthem.

23.07.15 – In association with Govt. Medical Department “World Population Day” was conducted. Human Rally was conducted from Anna Kalaiarangam to Voorhees College, Vellore.

Department of Commerce (Aided) has started Add On Course with UGC autonomous fund “certificate course in salesmanship”. It was inagurated on 20^th July 2015 Monday. The chief guest of the day was Dr. M. Anbalagan, Ph.D.,Retd. PG HOD of commerce, Voorhes college & Professor of Emeritus inaugurated the certificate course.
 
The Department of Commerce organized a special association meeting on “Changing contours and contemporary issues in accounting and taxation” the resource person of the day was Mr. D.K. Manoharan, Chartered accountant and C.J. Praven kumar, FCA. They inaugurated the programme and threw light on the various opportunities available to the commerce graduates after their degree.
